The new bed novelty has officially worn off. The novelty for Lucas today? Climbing down from said new big boy bed and running into sister's room, over and over and over, eventually forcing exhausted parents to retreat and put big boy in his not-so-big-boy crib. I should have learned from
Lindsey Jacobellis that early celebration is a sure way to lose the race....

I'm sorry - as you know, I'm a big proponent of using cribs as long as humanly possible, LOL! But I know for some kids, big beds work better. Quinn is still in his crib at home, but a big bed at my mom's, and he always wakes up earlier when he's there, I think because he knows he can get up and play if he wants to.
So frustrating, though! I hope Lucas is back to sleeping after that hiccup...
So sorry! I hope I didn't jinx it with an equally early celebration. :) Don't worry (and I know you're not) -- it will come in its own time. It took us one terrible week with Aidan to switch but it worked. I think he too got tired of having all four limbs sticking out from the crib rails each night. But then again, Aidan didn't have a sibling's room to run into for a grand ol' time. I wonder what we'll do with Grace ... Perhaps having her feet stuck together by a heavy piece of metal and tightly strapped shoes will hinder her from any wanderings. I always have been secretly thankful that you had your kids first, so I can hear of your adventures for future reference. :) Hang in there!
